Biopelículas en alcantarillados: capacidad hidráulica de sistemas de alcantarillado

En esta investigación se busca evaluar los efectos que tendría instalar un medio de soporte que permita la formación de biopelículas en las tuberías de alcantarillado (en este caso tuberías NOVALOC de PAVCO) como pretratamiento de las aguas residuales antes del acceso a las plantas de tratamiento. A su vez se busca evaluar el comportamiento hidráulico de esta forma de pretratamiento y el impacto en los diseños de redes de alcantarillado. Se observa mediante todo el experimento la variación del coeficiente de rugosidad n de Manning presentando un efecto de “alisamiento” de la tubería a medida que crece la capa de biopelícula.
