Rehabilitación priorizada de redes de distribución

La operación de redes de distribución de agua potable involucra dos asuntos que tienen grandes repercusiones económicas: la rehabilitación de tuberías y la reducción del índice de agua no contabilizada (IANC). Éste trabajo presenta un algoritmo que, con base en el concepto de potencia unitaria, permite seleccionar los tubos que deben ser rehabilitados con el fin de reducir la disipación de potencia y el IANC de la red, manteniendo el plano de presiones nivelado y encontrando la situación ideal para realizar la rehabilitación en términos de beneficios económicos. El artículo incluye el análisis de tres redes de distribución con características diferentes en las cuales la metodología propuesta probó contribuir hidráulicamente y logró establecer posibilidades de rehabilitación que resultan rentables.
