Esqueletización en redes de distribución

Los modelos esqueletizados en Redes de Distribución de Agua Potable (RDAP) son generados mediante la selección y eliminación de algunos tubos de la red de tal forma que el modelo obtenido represente adecuadamente las propiedades hidráulicas del modelo original que simula la red prototipo con todos sus tubos. Este tipo de modelos simplificados, son de gran utilidad en propósitos operacionales, como el manejo en tiempo real de la red, el monitoreo de la calidad del agua, las operaciones de mantenimiento y la reacción ante posibles emergencias. En la actualidad, existen modelos simplificados que representan las condiciones hidráulicas de la red original. En éste artículo se presenta una metodología que involucra diferentes procesos de simplificación del modelo hidráulico de una red de distribución mediante el uso de criterios hidráulicos específicos.
